I have been regulated to evenings/nights as strangers walk through my house all day poking and proding this wall, that floors and leave huge fans and dehumidifiers running 24.7.

The same thing happened to a friend--2nd floor pipe broke--water everywhere. What a mess and PITA to fix.

Hang in there!

She got some new furniture out of it, though!

I will get new furniture, carpet , wood floor and ceiling walls downstairs. Serve pro really tried to save my area rug for me because I doubt I can get one like it. Since they have to replace it all guess I'll go with a new color pallet. They said they might have to gut and redo the whole bathroom. That will be a real PITA but guess it would mean it is time to update its color pallet also. I have decided to look on the bright side. But these fans & dehumidifiers have been running 24/7 since Tues on both levels of the house and the noise is getting old. They will come check and hopefully take them out Monday. If it is not dry by then I would think it was time to just start gutting the walls. Our agent really worked hard to talk us into replacement cost on the insurance and boy are we thanking her. It was only about $40. extra a year but will more than pay for itself now.

and that it will not break you financially, that good and new surroundings will come of it, and above all: This too shall pass! And nobody is physically hurt.
