Getting started with the February Photo Contest process

I am trying to decide on elements for ideas and I think I'll have a poll on what the subject will be.

I might steal one or two ideas from that photo club list Blue in AK posted, there are some really good ones there and stuff I know about but don't have the equipment to perform and some I've never known about.

I'd like to keep it all simple.

Any suggestions before I get it going?

That will allow for a wider range of subjects. H. R. Giger would knock it out of the park.

Any back alley will provide a subject rich environment.

And I meant unusual!!

I'm finding that as I age the eyes at the ends of my fingertips are going blind and can't read the letters on the keys all that well anymore.

I'll have a poll in a couple-few days and I'll decide from there.

Thanks for the ideas.

My son is bringing my new laptop over tonight--with new software for processing photos--so there's a chance I'll be able to
enter this month's contest after all. I had feared that it would all get started before I had a chance to get accustomed to
my new 'puter.

I got some pretty cool shots today of some old telegraph poles along the Alaska RR. Most of the wire had been stripped for the copper, but the poles looked awesome in the diffuse golden morning light.
