Related: About this forumThe angry ocean
If you guys were following the weather earlier this month, you know that we hit the Pacific Northwest during its rainiest December on record. We drove along the coast as planned in hopes of getting some nice seascapes, but, alas, we were rained out.
I did manage to catch a few shots at this spot just north of Newport, Oregon, and then - the deluge, all the way to Astoria. Sideways sheets of rain, winds gusting to probably 40 mph. Crazy.

It scares me to drive in rain like that. Can't imagine having to do it for a long distance. I worry about hydroplaning.
