We're ba-a-a-ck, and look what we got....

We bought this little cutie in Eugene and it's on a ship this very minute headed to Alaska. We'll pick it up on Monday. We still wanted to go camping but just got tired of the whole setting up a tent routine, so now we can just pull into our favorite spots and crawl in bed.

Sink and stove in the back

There's another panel here, so it's a queen-sized bed inside. We'll probably get a memory foam topper. That's a battery in the box, so we can have light and plug in our tunes.

Now, hurry up May!

(I'll be posting time lines for the next contest soon. We just got home today and have been up since 3:30 a.m. Yawn...)

12-14 feet long including the hitch. I think it's about five and a half feet tall. It's just little, but perfect for us.

Are you living in Washington? These people are in Eugene, OR, Sutton RV, and were wonderful to work with. They made us a really good deal, and the sales person, Marie, towed it up to the Tacoma port for us for free and took care of all the paperwork for us. She was so nice, and we've all become Facebook friends. All we had to do was phone in the debit card number to TOTE for the shipping fee once it was weighed, and that was it.

If you go down there, tell Marie that Linda and Jim sent you. I bet they'll do you right.

I want one!!

We had an A-Liner for a few years.

Popping the roof up was a bit of trouble but it had advantages - in rainy, cold weather we could cooked and eat inside.

Happy Camping!

We like ours because it's so little and cute, and weighs less than 1,000 pounds. The woman who pulled it up to Tacoma for us said she hardly knew it was back there, even in the wind and driving rain, which is pretty much what it was doing the whole time we were down there. We've even seen pictures of people pulling them behind their motorcycles!

I read about them last year, trying to convince hubs. The fact that there's no set-up is so appealing.

We were down there nine days, and I think we saw the sun maybe -- MAYBE -- six hours, on Friday between Astoria and Aberdeen. We thought it would be fun to go over to the coast and take 101 from Florence on Thursday, which we did, but the stretch between Newport and Astoria was raining in absolute sheets, with wind probably 40 mph. Not much picture-taking opportunity. The time we spent in Blaine over the weekend wasn't too bad, drizzly and windy but not totally pouring all the time, but the last night we were in Seattle (day before yesterday), the wind was blowing so hard that our hotel was shaking and it sounded like the windows were going to pop out. Oh - and raining, of course. We took the train down to Pike Place Market on Tuesday so we were at least under cover.

We got back to Anchorage and it's cold, but at least it's dry. We'll get some snow later this week, but I'm fine with that. I don't think I could handle winters in Washington or Oregon. I understand now why they call the University of Oregon "Ducks."

and man was I depressed because of the rain and gray. What was funny was that there was a guy who moved into the basement apartment from Seattle because it was too rainy there, thought Eugene was nothing.

I hope it's polar bear safe...especially if you store food in there.

That would be my level of camping these days too. No more sleeping on the ground for me. I like the memory foam idea too.

down here in this part of Alaska, but we do have to be aware of Grizzlies. Before, when we tent camped, we would put our food in closed plastic tubs in the back of our truck and park it a ways from our tent. We never had any issues, but we have heard animals walking around outside at night, probably moose. This little trailer will be a lot more comforting.
