On the first night of Chanukah my true love gave to me...

...A NEW FREAKING CAMERA!

I got a Cannon Rebel T5 EOS 1200D and I have NO clue what half of those numbers and letters mean! I will, of course, be reading the manual and stuff, but this camera has all the bells and whistles, so I will likely be asking for help. If anyone is familiar with this camera and has tips, I would greatly appreciate it!

My last camera died on me, well, let's be honest, I killed it by leaving the batteries in and not using it for awhile. I was able to get most of the battery acid out, but it still only works now and again, so I asked Harry Hanukah for a new camera and I got it! YEA!

I am hoping to start taking pics again, but, if anyone has any tips or tricks, please let me know! Thanks!

Let us know how it works out! (And let me know how user-friendly it is, as I'm looking for another camera.)

It got really good reviews and many people say it is easy to use and learn. So, I will be the ultimate test! I really like photography, but I am not very good and I get confused with some of the settings. So I will report back...hopefully, with photos.

with a new professional body.

Gad... at least we both like the 810

Read the manual, but mostly watch youtube.

I might add, some specialty stores have classes that teach you how to use your camera.
