I do have a shot I will enter--but only if there aren't 30 entries by the time submissions close--since I'm hosting.
Would LOVE to see us fill 30 slots for this contest!

I thought I had posted the photo above--but discovered when I looked back it had posted my original upload--only resized--
without the bump up in color and the frame. Had to sign out, sign in again, to get it to work.

Most of our colorful leaves are long gone!

I've been checking the web cams for the volcanoes and noticed that way out near the western end of the Aleutians (Cleveland) it's been above freezing and Illiamna cam (not sure of the location-not the one on the volcano) but there was snow the other day and then it rained and it's all gone.

In southern MT it's been way below zero at night this past week and never getting above +30F. Worked at the ski festival and it was -24F one morning and at least -10F every morning this past five mornings. We don't have much snow though, and I'm talking 7K ft and there's less than a foot so far.

Hope you get some winter this year! Yeah, global warming does suck.

We did have some cold weather earlier this month and about eight inches of snow, but it's almost all gone now, as you can see. I really hate this. Hopefully the mulch will protect the perennials.

That's scary. Don't know what to say. In my region winter gets started and then there's no precip or we get precip but ti doesn't stay around long. Fortunately, because ski industry is a major income source here, there's usually enough from the first good snow >10in becomes the base and gets built upon. Last several years in ten we have not had much more after the base, maybe a couple ft but we should have yards of snow by now. Currently we have about a foot of snow on the ground and it's drying out from the subzero temps.
