This shot in a terrible lighting environment: it's a fully cloudy day with light everywhere reflecting from the city. It's at a distance of about 1 mile from South Lake Union. I'm holding the phone and I just got off my bike after a hard ride, so my hands are not steady.
Galaxy S6 with nothing special enabled. No HDR, greyscale, I did fiddle with the lighting slider slightly.
Color, slightly lower quality.
I'm pretty impressed.
Oh, and I shoot 60fps and UHD video from the same camera. And it all comes to under $700. And runs my life for me.
We live in a marvelous age in many ways.

(10,136 posts)I might need to try this shot with my phone just to see how it compares.
Is this home for you, or were you just playing tourist?
Based on the viewing angle, I am trying to figure out where in West Seattle you were standing.

(10,136 posts)I originally thought you did a left-right flip as the Space Needle should be on the left with the Queen Anne radio towers on the right. However those three towers on the far left are not the Queen Anne towers.

(3,607 posts)Does the s6 allow you to touch anywhere on the screen to increase exposure? My s4 doesn't do that and I really miss that feature - my previous HTC phone did that.
