immediately taken back to my service days - stationed in Okinawa, Japan. On my first tour I bought a Nikon A1 and went crazy with it. I've got some cool (banana?) spider pics buried somewhere in my photo albums.

I've gotta dig those out - thanks for the memory bump!

We have them all over the place here, one loves to gradually web over my slider door during the summer, then she leaves her egg case up in the corner of the doorway in the fall. So I get a nice VERY closeup of her thru the glass all summer long. She is also BIG.
When the sun shines just so , the web is very visibly golden.

switched cameras.
put some extension tubes on a macro lens and switched to a crop sensor camera

i couldnt get nearly as close on teh other side because of where she is located. but i also got her profile




these are all taken with a tamron 180 macro (nikon version) with either my nikon d600 or my sony a6000 using a metabones adapter
