You already know that JDB is my neighbor, so when he called me this morning and told me there was some controversy on the Photo Forum I took a look and called him back to come with his sledge hammer, which he did.
(Im in the process of making my retirement real, and needed some studly help in destruction)
And so it began:
And so it ended:
The moral, often stated in my childhood home:
This is how even with small things you can bring joy to Preachers Kids"
The live and learn part:
Im now off for my 3 times a week weight training session, so the next time Ill be able to handle this all by myself.

You better tell him to grow a thicker skin if he is going to hang out here, even though the Photography group has rarely required one. These disputes will never go away, just like all of us have different ideas of what looks good in a photo. He should feel proud that he got a rise out of this group.

It's tough to grow a thick skin, and to build a path or foundation with bricks others throw at you. But it is the hallmark of survivors and strong people.
In the photo forum we don't have disputes or controversy.
There have been two tempests, both started by the same person, both levied at me.
That's barely worth mentioning.
I'd invite juxtaposed over for a beer in my rose garden, but I suspect I'd get turned down.

(18,219 posts)We have debated the pros and cons of realism vs. art, but nastiness isn't common. That is why I like it here.
I expected the same in the Pets group, but don't get started on breeding there or it gets contentious. I guess the Gardening group and Birding group are the only places I have yet to see disagreement. (Knock on wood.)
