My exploring buddies and I tracked down this great location in Baltimore and when we got there, someone (another explorer) had used a bike lock to lock the entrance. We were unhappy to have to find other things to shoot but we still had tons of fun.
Here are a few from today.
This is Old Town Mall in Baltimore. A bit 'o history about the "mall"
The buildings, 64 in all, largely fall into three architectural categories: row house shops (mostly two stories with dormers) that date to the 1820s; Victorian stores, dating from the 1870s and wider and taller than the earlier rowhouse shops; and 20th century stores that emphasize Art Deco, Moderne and Sullivanesque styles. Some of the buildings are the last in the city to have cast iron fronts.
Abandoned factory complex that used to manufacture porcelain enamel coatings, and gave "Howard Johnson hotels and restaurants their distinctive orange-colored roofing".
I have some images from the 2015 Rolling Thunder rally that I need to post to Flickr before I can share here. That'll probably happen tomorrow.

(14,040 posts)If you go, bring friends.
It's always, always prudent to explore with friends. If you get busted, you've got friends in the slammer (j/k), if you get hurt, you've got friends to help you or if you're approached by someone, there's safety in numbers.
