There is just a lot of really pretty country down there, and as I said to someone up-thread, everything is so different that everything seems interesting.

Colorado is a beautiful state. Back in 2003 my youngest daughter and I took a road trip back to Iowa to visit friends. We came back through Colorado on I-70, and it was just incredibly beautiful. The drive down through Glenwood Canyon was absolutely gorgeous. I took one of my favorite pictures of my youngest there. Lots wrong with it, including cutting her feet off (she was wading in the river) but I still like it:

13. Thanks. We drove down through North Carolina as well.

Blue Ridge Parkway, Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls, Guilford Courthouse. We ended the outbound leg in Savannah, but we drove and ferried up the Outer Banks on our way back.

I think North Carolina is an incredibly beautiful state.
