lamanai mayan ruins

while in belize i went on a tour of the mayan ruins at lamanai

belize has a large mennonite community. here's a group of school girls touring the ruins

The temples fascinate me to the max. Your fourth photo is the top! It is the one photo that tells me the time for me to climb these might have passed. It has been an ambition of mine for this very lifetime.
Great howler. They're loud, aren't they. But the photo that strikes my fancy is the one of the girls. They are so beautifully clear and in focus, and you preserved much of the background to give me a feel for them and also a feel for them being there.
I love that photo.

im afraid of heights but figured i just turned 50 so it was time to face my fears and do it. i thought coming down would be harder but going up was tougher. now i can say ive done it and never have to do it again

one of the oldest continually occupied Mayan sites. Kudos.

Reading in Smithsonian earlier about Romoney's roots in Mexico. The LDS community there speak English.

Oh with the Mayan those long steps and the width of only a child's foot I bet but no doubt a great view at the top
