still hunting that sunset, but this is what i got from my walk today

they look a lot like the pics from last week, but this was a different natural area, it's just that everything looks the same right now. the grass was greening up in places, but no real color yet.

this old cabin was burned down by teenagers in 99

if you look closely in the middle of the mountains, you will see two notches. that's horsetooth rock, one of our big landmarks.

They don't look anything like the ones you posted before! You're turning into a good photographer.

I love the texture of the burned timbers.

The sky in the fifth picture looks like rain falling.

Really lovely!

i almost want to say it's long's peak, but can't say for sure.

i truly am lucky to live in a place with so much open space. after the colors come in, but before it gets too hot, i want to spend a day at the expansive natural area north of town. it's rich in archaeology, geology and wildlife and i think it would be amazing, but i'm not all that convinced the husband would join me for a nine-mile hike.

I also like the burned timbers...there is a lot of character to that one.

Not that I don't enjoy all the photos. I feel like I have been on a walk with you when I see them.

i told stories through words when i was younger, but i feel so much more articulate now that i've moved to photos.
