On Lichen Loop at Heil Valley Ranch in Boulder county.
There's just enough room to squeeze in there. Kids must love it!
Here's a shot of the valley. The trail wound into the trees to the left in this photo. Saw some incredible rocks, but this one was the best.

We were roughly in that area last June. The wild flowers were gorgeous.
And, yes, this is a cool rock.

Brings back memories, when I was a kid, we had a split rock and we did played for hours there..
Love the trees in the second one, must be awful pretty when it snows.
