Photography
Related: About this forumGetting back to it this weekend
I've not been photographing much over the last 3/4 months... first I became unemployed and couldn't really afford to go anywhere and then, when I finally got working again, I had to rebuild my checking account and still couldn't afford to go anywhere. Plus, for my type of photography, I prefer cooler weather.
Anyway, I'm venturing into West Virginia this weekend--going to some radio dish place on Saturday that doesn't allow electronics (no wifi, no tv, no radio, no cell phone, no digital cameras) hence the use of film cameras and will be shooting film a good portion of the day. This scares the bejesus out of me.
I have an older Canon AE-1 with a 50mm lens and I have a Lomo 166 that I think I'm going to take too (to shoot b&w). I'm more concerned about the Lomo 'cause it's a cheap Russian medium format that is lacking in options, has a fixed lens and didn't come with a manual so I'll be winging it with that much more than the Canon.
I bought 400 ISO film for both cameras (Kodak Portra for the Canon and Ilford 400 HP-5 Plus for the Lomo).
Any tips?

Bring gaffers tape for the lomo if it's anything like a Holga
And you can use your Canon to meter for the lomo
