off guard. That left a lot of room for the likes of Sony, Fugi and other "second and third tier" manufacturers to do some true innovation.

When two manufacturers control 70% of the market they tend to rest on their laurels and evolve slowly instead of making breakthrough changes. Look at Microsoft for example.

I think the mirrorless are targeting the Leica crowd. The Fuji X100 was a direct challenge. The rumored Samsung X300 achromatic is a direct challenge to the Leica Monochrom.

IMO that particular feature will only apply to a small fraction of action shots. Most of the time people shooting sports will still be looking through a viewfinder so they can track where the action is going. And the mirrorless cameras I've seen so far aren't good for this because of the lag between when reality and when it shows up on the viewfinder. I've tried to shoot moving objects with a mirrorless camera and that lag just drove me crazy. I think mirrorless technology isn't quite ready to overtake DSLRs for shooting sports (however I have no doubt that in the next few years it'll be there).

speeds them up The EM1 is faster than Fuji's XT1 and can shoot at 10 FPS.

Read some of Steve Huff's reports on the EM1 and you might have a different opinion. I have had a chance to play with the EM1 and there is no issues with the huge viewfinder.
