Related: About this forumOh, my goodness, look what I get to do next summer.
http://blog.carljohnsonphoto.com/?p=6648I'm pretty excited about this. I wasn't going to go because of the cost, but my husband insisted, and now I'm getting pretty stoked about it. Carl is an exceptional photographer, and I know I'm going to learn so much, not to mention get to this brand new part of Alaska that I've never been to before. Even if the auroras don't come out, the scenery will be magnificent.

(46,436 posts)Carl says the only way we won't see at least some auroras that far north is if it's overcast, and with three nights out, we should at least get one or two clear nights. I think it's going to be a blast.

(130,974 posts)It was overcast all day here, drizzles much of the afternoon, and THEN, around 6, setting sunlight through some clouds showed up, and it continued! We'll all be so excited for you!
