Related: About this forumOK, everybody! I am now looking for your ideas on a theme for the October contest!
It's a big month: the start of fall, Halloween, harvest doings, all sorts of things.
So, what would you like to see us use as the theme?
Let me hear you!

(149,640 posts)I actually had been thinking of something related to Halloween.....or All Hallow's Eve.

(18,219 posts)with the last contest, and it seemed to go well. Remember, the six elements of design: line, shape, form, texture, pattern, and color.
By using another of these basic elements, it allows people to go in any direction that they want. With autumn coming, "color" might be a good element to focus on.

I will ponder these...

(7,347 posts)All the suggestions are good and very Octobe-rish, wouldn't you say? Seasonal change, Halloween, harvest time, color...An entrant can enter any subject as long as it evokes a feeling of "Octoberness". A person could enter a photo of a scarecrow in a field, leaves turning, football game, something that says October. Maybe that's too close to the seasonal contest, I don't know!
A thing about Halloween is that it's the last day of the month. The contest would be over by then, wouldn't it? But I suppose that wouldn't be a problem, unless you wanted to take pictures of trick-or-treaters.

(149,640 posts)The seasonal contest is "Autumn." or fall. So there doesn't have to be any overlap.
And yes, I expect to be done by Halloween, although that might depend on when the "autumn" contest runs.
