The not so itsy bitsy spider

We have a bunch of these guys who've moved in to make webs on our deck. This guy--about the size of a quarter or a little larger-- had anchored his web between the patio table and the rod that supports the hummingbird feeder. Not a good choice. I didn't want him to decide to take up residence inside the closed table umbrella and I certainly didn't want a hummer to fly into his web while
having a hummer war with other hummers over the feeder. So, not long after I took this shot, he (she) was dispatched
to spider heaven.

I hate spiders. I avoid them. But I know they are really great to have around, so I will do all I can to move them. Of course, it is a comedy of errors when I try to move one and stay a mile away from it at the same time. But I do what I gotta do.

Cool shot. RIP
