Armstrong Grove

Still working on getting settings and focus right. I'm noticing that I get more movement when I release the shutter on this DSLR than I do when I use my point-and-shoots.

Anyway...here are some shots from Armstrong Redwoods. It was a gorgeous day after a week of heavy rain.

Proper holding technique and rolling the trigger finger can work wonders. ManiacJoe Mar 2012 #1
I think I'm holding it properly, but I tend to jab the shutter release button. Adsos Letter Mar 2012 #2

(Do as I say, not as I do....)

Shot #2 could be fun with some recropping.

I cannot post pictures from work....

Converting it to a vertical format: from the right side of the foreground rock at the bottom to the right side of the rock in the upper-right (about midway through the ferns at the bottom right. (Removes most of the big green rock center-left.)

Reframing the whole thing to the right might be interesting depending on what is just outside the current frame.
