Anyone else want their photo website linked in a pinned thread here?

I will probably send some IMs to a few people to see if they missed the currently pinned thread. Here is where I have the suggested format, which is now up for discussion.

I will probably add a closing sentence, like, Check these out, or something like that.

When I get answers and more people have a chance to enter their photo websites, I will update it. Either CC or I will then post a new thread, and it will hopefully then be closed and pinned. I am pretty sure that we could still edit it (???) even after a few weeks, if other people wanted to add their photo website? CC do you know? Or we could unpin the old thread and post a new one I guess.

Any comments, or other people that want to add their photo websites, please respond here. I also would like suggestions on format. I thought I would just post them alphabetically. I could separate out professional from amateur sites, also. I know that people can order prints from Blue's site, but I haven't checked the rest of them.

Please let me get any suggestions here.

3. I know we can pin and

unpin them but not sure on the edit stuff. I look at it this way, if we can edit we can always do an update thread then pin it replacing older ones. I did not see how you wanted to do it yet but will leave it in your hands. We can always make you a host. With the way this group cooperates and acts everyone could be a host. Best group on DU.

we could unpin and replace it if we can't edit it. Okay, I don't mind being a host, but I would want to be a subordinate host, meaning I would only take on this limited role.

I hope this will encourage everyone to get their things organized into a website. Good grief it took me long enough, so I understand procrastination, not having enough time, dreading it, etc. Now I am liking the result, if not loving it. Now I am seeing that I would like to diversify subject matter a bit more. I hope it motivates me a bit.

Also I have not decided which option I want. I know that I will not be selling photos therefore that eliminates one of the options.

It wouldn't sink down. Also there would be no replies. If someone came into this group they would see this thread and could look at people's sites if they so chose. Most people don't have professional sites, but some do. I was thinking about distinguishing the two but I think that would probably go against DU things. I don't sell either. I think mixing the professional and non professional sites would probably be best so it doesn't look like this is for sales, but just so people can look at the photos.

I just got a SmugMug account myself. It took awhile, but now it seems pretty easy. I just had to go through and make sure that people couldn't right click on pictures and steal them!! There is a special setting for that. I did not try to watermark mine, but just made sure people couldn't steal them.

Do you want your site included in the pinned thread?

When I post the thread I probably will also post something in GD about it, on the theory that we have not been able to have any contests lately. Also I would ask if anyone else in DU has photo sites and wants to be included. We could try to get a little more interest in this group since a number of great people seem not to be here now.
