Related: About this forumQuestion:
Until the past week or so, I've been able to use Google 'images' to find pics of lots of things, when relevant to a post, like a bowl of guacamole, DC Cherry blossoms, etc. They'd come up as a wide array of images, click on one gets a jpeg which, when link posted, pops right up.
Now, same 'array' doesn't show, now its commercial, like a bunch of recipes for guacamole (for example,) and no jpeg link available.
Anyone know why???
Thanks

(28,504 posts)I totally got a page full of chicken pictures when I clicked on your first link here.

(131,111 posts)and click on one to post a pic of it here, and get another LOOOOOONG, useless link, not the short jpegs which, in the past 'til recently, when posted here, would result in a PICTURE!

(28,504 posts)1) Click on chicken pic you want. It should bring up a larger image of that picture with a button next to it saying "view image".
2) Click "view image." A new window should open with just the photo.
3) Copy the URL.
4) Past the URL in a DU message box, like so:
ALTERNATIVE METHOD:
1) Click on chicken pic you want.
2) Right click on the larger picture preview. Choose "copy image address."
3) Paste into DU post, like so:

(18,219 posts)I click a picture and nothing happens. No larger picture, no option for copying URL or copy image address.
Sorry to butt in here, but I have just discovered these images and I have the same problem that elleng has...unless she has figured it out.

(28,504 posts)I would suggest it might be your browser, but I use both Macs and PCs daily, with four different browsers and it always works the same for me. OTOH, it could just be a weird google thing. For instance, I live in Colorado, but for some reason, google is sure I live in Boston - all my search results are in the Boston area. I think it rebooted there when I visited a couple years ago with my laptop and it hasn't ever reset itself back.

(18,219 posts)I decided to try Chrome instead, and all worked as it should. (Although it wasn't easy for me to find Google Images like it was in IE.)

(28,504 posts)but learned I could always get there by typing "images.google.com" in the browser. Works for all things google:
new.google.com
mail.google.com
calendar.google.com
etc.

(18,219 posts)but I just learned something because of this. I never knew that google images existed.
Now, I will wait with bated breath for an answer to your question.....since I tried getting an image and got the longest source code that I have ever seen to post.

(131,111 posts)used to type request, like, Guacamole, get lots of pics on which to click, and then got short jpeg.

(131,111 posts)and I expect lots more similar will show up. So much crap, 'business,' monopoly, hacking.
Found something I've been looking for for a while, 'gift' from my folks to daughter which she has in packing stuff, and I MAY get it for my cottage. Sharing it with you with THANKS, tho this is b+w, and the original is in color, oil:
