Related: About this forumOut in Baltimore today
I started out super early this morning (woke up at 4am) and decided to photograph my local gas station
Finally made it to Baltimore for our 10AM meetup at B&O Railroad Museum
Then we went to lunch and I found this on the way
Then we hit up an abandoned location but there wasn't much there worth photographing, so we decided to check out some other possible locations and found this
and this
and this
and then I came home and took my shoes off and processed and uploaded these images. Now, I'm going to bed... I'm one tired lady.

(46,436 posts)The Domino Sugar reminds me of when I worked at Great Western Sugar Company in Denver in 1968. Even though Great Western is no longer in business, the building is still there with a plaque identifying it, and you can still see the very old-fashioned Otis elevator which has some distinction, like maybe being the oldest still-running Otis elevator in Colorado. I like old stuff.

(14,040 posts)particularly the hospitals, have old Otis elevator machines still in place in the elevator equipment rooms. Of course, none of these elevators are running but I bet if they hadn't been damaged by time and vandals, they'd be capable of running.

I like all of them, but I particularly like the conductor and the crumbling brick alley. (Is that an alley?)

It was definitely an unusual site in downtown Baltimore.
