Library of Congress Open House

Twice a year, the LOC has an Open House and allows photography in the main reading room. I took the day off so I wouldn't miss this opportunity to shoot the reading room. Here are a few images.

My first attempt at a panorama. It was tricky 'cause we weren't allowed tripods.

Lots of photogs inside main reading room

Main entry hall 2nd floor

Wow!

You have done justice to the Library. These are wonderful, breathtaking. Your vertorama deserves to be framed.

I'll bet you had fun!

Thanks for sharing.

It was quite amazing to see the time and effort put into this building. I can't imagine anyone doing anything like that today.
