I live in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia.

Solly. Freezing rain today and next week in the 70s???

If we get the 12 inches it will be the most snow I've seen in many years. The only reason I care is the possibility of losing electricity. I work from home so I don't have to go anywhere. We have a four-wheel drive truck and my husband went to the store so we're prepared. I just hate losing the water if the electricity goes out, plus, my husband gets bored. I read a lot, but he doesn't, so there's not much to do.

I hope the rain hasn't caused any flooding where you are.

ankle deep water for several days isn't any fun. Lots of mud.

I hope y'all don't lose electricity. Makes a bad situation that much more miserable. (and deadly)

I haven't been in that much snow since 2004. It was up to my thighs then. Hated it!

Stay safe! Stay warm!

down. Right now it's blowing the snow sideways.

I hate snow.

We do have backup heat with the propane logs in the fireplace which is comforting.

for us up north as well as people in the south. I hope that you make it though this unscathed.

And I hope your birth control is working if you are stranded for too long with a "bored hubby".

with the wind blowing snow so hard you can barely see. I've gone out a few times to grab more photos and it's just impossible right now.
