This is my first time hosting a contest - when should I start the Winter Contest?

but it kind of feels like Winter now!!!

2. I think we usually do them in February or March

so everyone has a chance to fully experience the season.

I think it was winter in March, spring in June, summer in September and fall in early December. In other words, at the end of the season.

3. I think later in the season would be good.

End of February or first of March, maybe?

4. I believe CC posted a schedule for season contests.

Winter- March
Spring - June
Summer- September
Fall- December

At the end of the season (afterward). Or something like that. Try looking in the pinned threads.

7. We usuallly start the contest with prelims on

the first of the month. We did change the months so that all people in all zones could have a chance to get photos of the season in the contest. You can remind people to get out there, get shooting and choosing a photo for the contest so they aren't caught without though. You are allowed to enter the contest too even if you are host because it is the seasonal.

9. This is gonna' be tough,

We really haven't had winter yet, except for a few days of really really cold temperatures. I guess I'll have to figure out how to photograph the cold.

12. It's snowing: a tiny bit, anyway.

Powdered sugar everywhere. Schools closing early - stores too.
Oh the beauty of living in the South. It may be our only snow this winter, and be gone before morning.
