It arrived!

What ya' see here is the original OM 1 and my new (to me) OM D E M5.

The OM 1 has Miatani's autograph etched int the back. Bit of trivia; Miatani was Oly's chief designer and conceived the OM system in it's entirety before the technology existed to build it. He was featured in a number of Olympus print ads in the '70s. When the OM 1 was introduced it was designated the M 1 to honor it's designer. However Leica, that had designated all it's camera series as "M" + number since 1930, sued Olympus and forced them to recall the unsold M cameras and re-name the product OM.

Miatani died in 2009. He smoked, a lot, like a worn out '71 pickup truck. The M designation and the OM D series are an homage to him and his influence on Oly's camera design.

I now have an Oly E 620 and two lenses for sale. I'll offer a 30 day warranty and free shipping. PM me for details.

2. The standard kit lenses. They really need to stay with the body.
