Getting the right look in B&W wasn't that easy.

Although you said that the first photo is your favorite . . . OMG! Photo two is so very compelling. The concentration on the gentleman's face, the gentle holding of the client's arm, and the calmness of the client (relaxed hand). This is just such a super photo!
Glad you got to attend for free. I too am all for free. Luckily I can attend some events free b/c I take photos! Lucky us!
