Again I'm kicking myself for only having my cell phone with me but this ended up still being an OK shot. Taken at Ambleside Park this evening:

The colors are vivid, and the details are sharp and clear. I love the angle! And the subject is inspired!
In other words: ya done good!

(6,154 posts)We have been vacationing as a family all my life and have now racked up a lot of miles around the world. I don't think a single trip has gone off without some kind of incident occurring though. I have my own issues with my family emotionally but a lot of this has to do with my mother who is a ball of stress and worry and doesn't realize it. I've inherited a real genetic land mine when it comes to my emotions
Luckily the pros usually end up far outweighing the cons on vacations. Especially when you come back and count your memories.

(6,154 posts)I agree with your statement that the eye behind the camera is what matters, not the camera. Still if it's the same eye behind the cell phone and the SLR, I'd still choose the SLR

(1,771 posts)For most people these days it is considered the camera they use. To be honest, I couldn't tell what kind of camera you used. I always have a couple of film cameras in my mode of transport but have used a cell phone many times when nothing was on my person. Your cell phone does a stellar job.
