Sometimes it is like "Wild Kingdom" in my yard

This Anole

was fighting this Anole,

that had a disadvantage or two,

while she watched. (to be fair - so did I)

The Victor strutting his stuff

while the defeated moved on. (he worked his way out of the yard rather quickly)

...the neck displays are very interesting. I love lizards, they've got such cute little hands / feet among other things...

I once (or more than once) stalked one of these to come close to getting a good photo of the bulging neck. Out of a long time stalking came many many photos. None worth saving.
I'm so glad you post these. They are works of art. I especially like the second, and also the fourth, for the lines.

I noticed he was injured during the winter.

I built Anole condos for them to winter in.

They usually hide from the cold so I used old flower pots and created various levels with dirt, rocks and twigs. I would drop meal worms inside. The end result was several Anoles wintering in my yard. Now that is time to mate they have been running each other off. I'm down to one male and one female.

These look like fun creatures to watch. Through your camera lens, I just have.

Thanks!
