Well, two D plus time as the third.

Would there be a way to do even longer exposures with multiple flashes, so as to capture, say, three or more "moments" as well as the fluid motion in between each?

If you know what I mean.

i know i couldnt do it with the equipment i have now. you would have to have something that would time the flashes while the shutter was open as well as using manual flash strength so the combined flash wouldnt blow out the picture. i dont know how feasible that would be for a musical performance

I'll give this a try. I've never had much luck with slower shutter speeds as the photos end up with blown out over exposed areas.

Learn something new everyday! Thanks for sharing.

some of the finest I have seen here when it comes to you achieving what you set out to do.
I'm stunned at your artistry.

I like the 6081 and 6077 for the clearer faces with the hand blurs.

Were you using rear-curtain or front-curtain (the default) for the flash timings?

This way the blur will come into the freeze instead of out of the freeze. Depending on the subject it is often more of what is expected; sometimes anyway.
