Just playin'

Had some time this afternoon and decided take some photos. You all know how that is . . . a few moments ends up to be hours! Okay, okay . . . I bought a bouquet of flowers! But they make such wonderful subjects!

Flower

Lily

No clue what this flower is, but it's intriguing.

Working on my "Happy New Year's" e-photo. You all may see this one again but with some life-changing, heart wrenching poem, saying or something inspirational written on the photo!

Yes, I'm pretty sure it's a chrysanthemum because my mother raised them when I was a child. Grammy23 Dec 2012 #7

I would be proud to have taken any of them...

I *think* the mystery flower is a form of chrysanthemum.......but I'm not sure. It's a great picture!

Love 'em all!

It's snowing here and didn't feel like venturing out, so playing with my camera is always a good option.

It looks like a Spider Mum. The ones she grew were that color and I think she called them "chartreuse". She had a hot house that my father built and she grew her mums there (in Jackson, MS so we had some cold weather in winter). We kids were not supposed to go in the hot house, but we did sneak in there and take a look at the flowers. It was almost irresistible to us with interesting flowers like those spider mums, along with the big football mums (the kind girls used to wear as corsages to football games when I was in high school.) Nice picture of the spider mum!

And to think, I had to open up a bottle of champagne for the photo! What we won't do for our art!
