Music Appreciation
Related: About this forumI'm doing my radio show tomorrow
Itll be in tribute to the late Great Aretha Franklin, of course.
Due to the fact that Mixcloud limits the number of tracks by any particular artist to three, Im considering one of many of Arethas tracks to end the show. I want it to be something special, which is pretty hard to pick because all of her songs are special.
Id appreciate some suggestions from all of you, if you dont mind.

Also, might be nice to kick it off with a story like this -- In an interview with The New Yorker following [Franklin's] performance of (You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman (a performance that memorably brought him to tears,) the former president [Obama] had this to say: American history wells up when Aretha sings. Nobody embodies more fully the connection between the African-American spiritual, the blues, R. & B., rock and roll ― the way that hardship and sorrow were transformed into something full of beauty and vitality and hope.
Precious Lord, from MLK's funeral.

Whatever you do, I bet it will be a great radio show. Good luck.
