Long Strange Trip

You don't have to be into The Grateful Dead to get into this historical documentary. It's not a concert but rather a look at the history of that era and behind the scenes of the music. I thought I knew a lot but after watching the first episode last night I realize I don't.

I've always been fascinated by the Beatnik/Ginsburg/Kerouac era as it morphed into the Kesey/San Francisco/Owsley/Dead era.

Real interesting how this band lived together and played everyday. They had 5 set gigs 6 days per week!

It's streaming now for free with an Amazon Prime account.
