The first album they recorded after his daughter Selena's death from a single car accident and his wife Jackie's death from cancer a year later. Rush didn't write or record for about five years or so, from Selena's sudden death to 2003; rather than sit around grieving himself to death in a drug and alcohol induced haze, Neil packed a bag and rode his motorcycle all over North and South America for about three years. He finally stopped when he met Carrie Nuttall, a photographer, who he married in 2001, IIRC. Olivia was born some years later and is now about 10.
One Little Victory is the victory of returning to "the land of the living", and the return to drumming and his Rush brothers.
