It's fabulous Friday, so let's have some music from the past.

These songs go back decades. I found both of them through searching Google and YouTube.

Something that the clubs played in the 80s. This got a lot of play at "Tracks," a club in SE DC that was torn down to make way for Nationals Park. Good golly, I see that the founder died seven months ago. I'll make a thread in the LGBT Forum.

May: Creator and owner of D.C.'s famed nightclub Tracks dies at 76

Carol Jiani's "Hit N Run Lover" became a long-running anthem within the '80s Hi-NRG scene, a song that never seemed to lose its appeal, particularly among the gay community. The song soared to the
top of the disco chart in May 1981, and continued to be spun by DJs for years afterward and compiled on the occasional compilation CD. Jiani recorded several others songs such as "Dancing in the Rain" (1984); however, the Nigerian-born and Canadian-based diva remained forever tied to "Hit N Run Lover," the victim of her own success. In the '90s, a few Jiani best-ofs surfaced, and many of her songs, such as "The Woman in Me", "Mercy" and "Ask Me", etc!
were re-released on vinyl. ~ Jason Birchmeier, Rovi

Here's something I heard on the radio (in 1986?) and tracked down. This comes from the "Cold War paranoia" category:
