Which reminded me of how much I love China Doll from "Reckoning"

Which in turn made me dig out the CD when I got home.

After blowing a quarter inch of dust off of it, I listened to that record again for the 1st time this century.

Back in 1981, the Dead released 2 live albums:
"Reckoning" and "Set" (Get it? Dead Reckoning and Dead Set). Set was all electric and Reckoning was all acoustic.

I prefer acoustic Dead then and now, and this album has my favorite Dead song on it - so I got it in one of my Columbia House bonus buys back in 82.

As far as my selection of Grateful Dead music? Well, this album and Working Man's Dead are all I have.

Anyway, the point is - I may have been selling that record short for the last 30+ years.

Maybe my tastes have changed in the intervening years but I'm really digging this album now...

All accoustic music with some great PigPen vocals..."Katie Mae" is as bluesy as it gets.

Pretty sure "I've Been all around the world" was off of this album. Rosalie McFall is a classic folk song and Garcia's vocals are perfect on this tune.

Digging this version of Dark Hollow quite a bit.
