2. I was very saddened, such a sweet man.

I knew him in Texas, he was friends with my exes band. Austin was a great place to be in those days, but so many musicians I knew from that era have passed away. I am far removed from those days, but if you ever met Daniel, you didn't forget him. He did a video at our home, and I was in another one that was recorded at UT. I don't know what happened to the videos. He was so shy he turned his back to the audience when he performed. So yes, he is missed.

I just now discovered his, “this is a recorded message from Daniel Johnston” about comforting one another in his absence. Heard they played it at his funeral. 😭
