Bill Laswell produced it in the 90s and assembled a bunch of funk legends from P-Funk, James Brown and Herbie Hancock's bands.
And yeah, "If 6 Was 9" is a standout. I think there's another Bootsy-led Hendrix cover on the album too.

Haven't listened to it in years, so thanks for the memory.
