I'm pretty sure that was done in post with an envelope follower. It sounds like a Les Paul with one pickup off and the selector switch toggling. We've heard that in lots of songs.
But, here it's really fast, lasts a whole measure & is perfect. But, since the thing is at a set "frequency" it is ideal for the song.
Clever stuff.
