And when I got to go to Bakersfield and order some french toast at a truck stop I thought "this is pretty fancy!"
Life just keeps getting fancier!

(11,802 posts)I am an uncle tup fan at this point. Asked for some for xmas. Me n Mrs glam were listening on Alexa while decorating the three trees. Along with gram and the Flying Burrito bros. Willie and Buck Owens. Great night. I've come a long way from the Iron Maiden/Crue fan I started out as in 7Th grade.
I love Jay. Wilco is no worse off without him, but they were better with him. Ya know?

Their was another Jay in Wilco though, Jay Bennett ... he passed away, regrettably.
Sounds like a great night, decorating and playing Americana with the fam ... can't go wrong there ...
And yeah, I was quite the headbanger til I graduated HS mid-80's. Then I started listening to EVERYTHING. U2, REM, Replacements, The Alarm, The Cure, and Talking Heads .... were the biggest catalysts. That was a golden age of alternative stuff, man ...
