Ten Men....in black hats.

I saw David Mallett in concert last evening in Vancouver, WA. A funky Irish bar with the aging, crunchy-granola crowd well represented, filling the small venue (~50-60 people) an hour before the show.

A very good show. Just Dave on acoustic guitar and harmonica, with Michael Burd on electric bass. The sound system was ...designed for rock and roll...but ok.

The appropriate number of old favorites were played, but I especially liked some of the newer songs since I hadn't acquired the last two albums yet.

One song struck me as especially relevant. Evidently Dave found some old notes from 15 years ago and completed the song in 2009 - Ten Men.

The divvied up the green grass.
The divvied up the soil.
One man he got all the iron ore,
Another man, he got all the oil.
