Considering all the 'bad press' Russia is getting of late, I thought this might balance the scales a little.

Rimsky Korsakov, Stravinsky, Borodin, etc. are among my favorites -- these and many other great Russian artists would absolutely reject and abhor the likes of Putin and any form of oppressive government...
I travel to St Petersburg almost every year - 1st time was 1985 - and it is a city I just love.
Gergiev and the Marinsky Theater Orchestra played last night in LA - Shostakovich, Prokiev and Scriabin. With Matsuev... unbelievable. Well, no.
It was as one would expect.
