There is some greatness here.

"A Night at the Opera" certainly qualifies there, especially the "You can't fool me there is no sanity clause" line. That the Marx Bros. could utterly destroy an opera is a foregone conclusion. They do it brilliantly. Plus, we get Kitty Carlisle.

A great flick.

Then there's "The Day the Earth Stood Still". Wow. Robert Wise nails this one. The Bernard Herrmann music helps. That, and a really good ensemble cast, which Wise was rather good at assembling.

Then there's "Wait Until Dark" which is Alan Arkin's -- Ahem! -- darkest role. The refridgerator!!!! Great flick.

The rest of today's flicks are yawners, especially "An Affair to Remember". What a waste of talent. A snore inducing film.

Dr. Zhivago? Nope!

King of Kings? Who are you kidding?

Affair in Trinidad seems interesting. Have not seen that one.
