1. I saw 'Of Human Bondage' for the first time a few weeks ago.

I didn't even there was a remake, let alone that it starred Paul Henreid.

I think they should have left it alone - as much as I like him, he just wasn't in the same league as Leslie Howard. Nor could Eleanor Parker ever be a match for Bette Davis.

It was interesting to see it, but it made me want to see the original again to see how it should be done.
