TCM Schedule for Wednesday, March 27: The Need for Speed

It is not Michael Powell's birthday but there is a daytime tribute to him, and it appears that the line-up consists mostly of rarely seen films, I Know Where I'm Going being an exception.

Another rarity: The Iron Petticoat, that Cold War oddity pairing Bob Hope and -- wait for it -- Katharine Hepburn.

...Classic Arts Showcase, which runs clips of performance (opera, ballet, orchestra etc.), as well as animation and classic films. TCM has run it a few times that I can recall, and it's well worth checking out.
