A few pieces by me

my first post in this particular forum. I'm finally getting to the point where I want to show these and sell. I'm located in Austin TX. These are all acrylic on canvas. Feedback appreciated.

Have you sold before? How are you going to market these? Did you sign them? The top one is the one I am drawn to most.

Part of why I posted is to gain any insight I can into marketing my art. I haven't sold stuff before, but I do know a lot of different artists, and grew up around part of the fine arts community here. I know that if I can get a few pieces exhibited along side another artist who is already known, it would help me get my foot in the door. I am putting together a web site dedicated to my visual art, so that should help. I don't like big obtrusive signatures, and I may still tweak these slightly before I do sign them. I usually write info on the frame behind the picture.

Thanks for looking!

that's just exactly how I see the world - layered and alive, like a mask or substrate for the spirits.

Alot of my friends are artists, and they work consignment shops, where you put your work up and then work a few hours a week at the store. Maybe you can find a local shop or even start one.

I just noticed that I've decided to turn one of my abstract pieces upside down compared to how I posted it here.

The creative process at work. haha.

Some of them made me think "Paul Klee."

Decide which style or theme is more you and stick to it. I like the flowing peices the best like the 3rd from top, but what do I know? I also like #4 a lot which is kind of the trend /style right now.
Set up a booth at a local handcraft art market and see what moves best. U can make posters of your paintings too and sell them from the booth as well. Sell them to customer with agreement you can borrow it back to make prints. U might approach galleries to sell them when you get a body of work together of one style or theme. Or they might approach you, and maybe even compete for your work!

Are you referring to the paintings in the original post that started the thread? Those are early experiments.

I think I'd lose what's left of my mind if couldn't have some variety, but I have noticed a few different series of works that have developed and can be displayed together. I've tried a bunch of different styles starting out, and now I'm finding the ones now that come easily. I need to post some more pics soon, I've got a whole bunch of pieces that just need some "finishing touches".
