I love it ashling! The fact that it’s an indirect depiction of the sunset is delightful. You capture the vast skies of the Plains with your lovely brushwork. I’ve said this before but I’ll probably say it many times. Painting skies well is one of my favorite things and here it’s your focus and it works! And the windmill is captivating, giving your painting a timeless feel of weathered aging. It feels like the end of a full day on a farm. Your composition is wonderful.

Sometimes honesty can be mistaken for kindness. I like expressing how I see art, especially when it is sincere and real. Many times the artist can be compelled to see something they did in their artwork that is impactful, meaningful to the viewers. We tend to be too close to our art to see it with fresh eyes. It’s not kindness, it’s appreciation and encouragement.
