Tried this sketch I found in Catherine Gill's excellent book. The reflections gave me the most

trouble, as did values in general. Still, I am pleased at the overall looseness of the painting.

He has a wonderful book (on Amazon -- always around 4.5*) and his homework assignments for the classes he teaches at Gage in Seattle are at: hoffmannwatercolors@blogspot.com
