... the "right" paint, there'd be more fine water colorists. I know this because I can not do water color for beans.

pretty good.

i used to use derwent pencils and caron d’ache. i like sennelier pastels, so i’d trust their paints.
u should try them. very fun, and easy to use once u get the hang. makes a lot of the painful parts of wc easy.

I like the creaminess of Rosa paint made from the Ukraine.
I guess it depends truly on what you like but the Rosa paints are more opaque.

I now use Schmincke which is a very good paint but added Daniel Smith in my pallet so I’m equally happy with most of them.

I think it depends on what your painting if you want a more transparent look or more opaque.

I believe the paper is the more important.
